I’ve trained with Marcio a few months while I was living in Arizona. I don’t know how but he has a way to explain the technique in a way everyone can understand it, from kids to adults, from white belts to black belts. You can see your improvement from class to class. While in class he’s always checking on everyone just to make sure you’re getting the move right and if you don’t, he’s always open to stay after class to help you get it right.

Fight2Win 122 in Scottsdale, Arizona

Fight 2 Win 122 [Augusto “Tanquinho” Mendes vs. Marcelo Mafra] took place on August 16 in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The Marcio Andre Jiu-Jitsu team was well represented by Brenda Heller, Joseph Cruz, Domenic Hurtado and Blanca Macedo. They all had tough matches and did the team proud. We had 2 very impressive wins – Blanca Macedo won on her purple F2W debut and Joseph Cruz won a championship belt.

Some of team will be competing this upcoming week in Las Vegas, at the World Master IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu Championship and Las Vegas International Jiu-Jitsu Open.
